It’s official, I’m going back to school 😀
For some time now, I’ve contemplated returning to school to get a masters degree. Most of the programs I looked at were around distance learning for an MBA. However, I constantly remembered my challenges with Finance and Statistics courses during my bachelors program each time I reviewed the MBA curriculum. Not good.
Thankfully, with the growing dominance of online, digital, and interactive in everyone’s life, several new programs have been developed by accredited colleges and universities. That’s why I’m excited that I’m going to be a Florida Gator … for the third time.
The new program, Masters in Mass Communication: Web Design and Online Communication launched a few years ago and just graduated their first students last year. The cool thing about this program is its curriculum is more in line both with my day-to-day professional experiences, and with my interests. Furthermore, it’s all online, but not self-study and not in an accelerated timeline.
In a few short weeks, I’ll be a part-time student again with a full-time job. It’s going to be a lot of work, but hopefully a ton of fun along the way.
Stay tuned for updates as I continue through the program over the next two years.
